Oregon Guided Raft Tours

ONE DAY SCENIC WHITEWATER TOURS

Let us take you down the best 13-mile stretch of whitewater the Deschutes has to offer. From class I riffles to class IV thundering rapids, you will be in awe of the Deschutes deep canyon, as well as its bountiful wildlife and diverse history.

ONE DAY GUIDED RATES

With Lunch
$70 per person Monday through Friday
$85 per person Saturday and Sunday

Without Lunch
$65 per person Monday through Friday
$80 per person Saturday and Sunday

ONE DAY GUIDED TRIP INCLUDES:

  • Transportation to and from the river from our store--located in Maupin, Oregon
  • Catered lunch--BBQ Hamburger, Chicken or Boca Veggie Burger
  • Each raft will contain a cooler filled with pop and bottled water
  • Your local experienced guide
  • Proper safety equipment (for example: lifejackets, wetsuits and paddles)

Arrival / departure times and what to bring

-Drive time/miles: Maupin is approximately 100 miles/2 hours from PDX
-Arrival time: 10:30 a.m. at our store in Maupin
-Departure time for trip: 11:00 a.m. from our store in Maupin
-Float time: approximately 5 hours including lunch and transportation
-What to bring: shorts, t-shirt/tank top, swimming suit, river shoes or tennis
  shoes that can get wet, hat, sunglasses, towel and sunscreen.
-After the trip you might want to have a dry change of clothes and shoes

Special Medical Needs:
Asthma, Diabetes, extreme allergies (bee stings etc..)
Be sure to bring appropriate medication and make your guide aware of your needs before departing for your adventure. Your guide will properly store any medication on board the raft's First-aid kit.

ABOUT YOUR ONE DAY GUIDED TRIP

After being shuttled from our store to the river launch site, you will be given a safety speech from your experienced guide and also at this time you will be given your equipment (lifejackets and paddles).

On the first leg of your adventure, not only will you experience the history of the Deschutes River Canyon, you will also go through a series of Class I to Class IV rapids including some of the following: Wapinitia (III), Teachers Rapids (II), Devils Hole, Last Chance, Box Car (IV), Rock and Rollers, Pipeline and the Snake Rapids. You then will stop for your delicious catered lunch at the Maupin City Park Greenway.

After lunch, you will embark on the second leg of your adventure. Again, floating through a series of Class I to Class IV rapids, including some of the following: Surf City Depot, Island Rapids (III), Oak Springs (IV) and Upper and Lower Elevators .

At the end of your rafting adventure, our vehicles will be waiting to take you back to our store in Maupin.
