New for 2005

Limited Entry use for Segment 1 – Warm Springs to Harpham Flat only

Starting in 2005, implementation of the limited entry system for segment 1a and 1b only (Warm Spring to Harpham Flats) will begin.  The limited entry days for 2005 are Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays beginning July 1st through September 4th.

The remaining segments of the river, including Harpham Flat to Sandy Beach section, will not be limited in 2005.  Passes will be available on a first come first basis, with 50% of the passes being released 182 days in advance, 20% released 30 days in advance, 15% released 14 days in advance, and 15% released 3 days in advance of each limited entry date.

The use limitations are set so that if river use remains at current levels, most boaters should get their first choice of launch dates in segment 1.  Boaters can request a trip up to seven days in length if the first limited entry date is available.  An Individual may hold only one boater pass at a time, but may be listed as an alternate trip leader on multiple boater passes.  All boaters will be required to use the boaterpass.com website to obtain boater passes, or visit a participating vendor to purchase a valid boater pass.  A boater pass is required when accessing the river by any type of watercraft.

Annual Passes have been replaced by a new Frequent User Pass that is valid on all days except Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from May 15th through September 15th.  The cost for a Frequent User Pass is $50; the cost for a Daily Boater Pass will remain the same for 2005 at $2 per day per person midweek and $8 per day per person on Saturdays and Sunday beginning the Saturday before Memorial Day; ending the Sunday before Labor Day.
